Friends and Inspiration
ANGE (Lovin and Chaos by the Bakers Dozen)
Ange lives in the deep south with her big family. She has a lot of children adopted from Haiti and she is the most mellow big family Momma that I know. She is super laid back and even opened up her home to us a few years back when we were hosting two babies from Haiti. I stayed at her house with six children and three of them were under two! Ange has a great personality and is a wonderful Momma to many.
KIM (Berries and Honey)
Kim is a dear friend to me and lives here near me. Our families spend a lot of time together and we are very close. She has three biological children, two sons from Haiti and a little girl coming home soon from Africa. She is a warm and loving person and she blogs about her family life, adoption, homeschooling and home steading too. Check out her blog- your sure to love her as much as I do.
LAUREL(Our Journey of Faith)
Laurel is a friend IRL (in Real Life) and fellow weight loss partner. Laurel and I have known one another for many years now and I enjoy her company, insight and wisdom so much. BRITTANY (Four little men and girly twins)
Brittany and I were in an ebay group for many years together called The Queen Bees. Brittany is a great photographer and she blogs about raising her six young adorable children. She shares inspiration to others by writing about health, wellness, living green and eating healthy. She has a large blog following and is just as adorable as any mother could be! You will quickly fall in love with her family.
JAMIE (Dreaming big Dreams)
Jamie is a Mom to four. She has two recent additions from Haiti and was a host parent for MAT last year. Jamie is a very fun person. She is an honest and thoughtful writer and shares about her life married to a funky handsome musician. Jamie and her family are very Christ centered. They are vegetarians so be sure to check out her yummy recipes. Jamie is impossible not to love because she will make you smile.
SALEM (SisterHaiti)
Salem is my partner in Co-Directing MAT. She is on her journey to becoming a mother for the first time. She is in Uganda right now and working on bringing home her son Mayer. Salem and her husband are going to be the best first time parents ever because they have actually hosting children for medical care before. Salem has a very interesting family and has done a ton of traveling in her young life. She takes wonderful pictures and is a steadfast reliable caring friend to me at all times. Can you tell I adore her?
HILARY(Making A Home)
Hilary is a mommy friend in our adoption support group. She is hands down the most creative mother and home schooler that I know. I wish she could adopt me and I have told her that because she is that much fun! Hilary is also a foster Mom, adoptive Mom and her and hubby are on an adoption journey to add to their family. They have had some big losses in recent months and have shown steadfast faith and commitment to family.
BEKKI (Elosangel)
Bekki is an extraordinary woman: wife, mother, host mother for MAT, adoptive Mommy, home schooler, and is at the very beginning of a new adoption journey. Bekki has been through a lot in the past year and still has been a rock to lean on for so many. She has a huge heart for Haiti and is a dear friend to me- she keeps me smiling!
ANITA (Banku, Pho and Fried Spiders)
Anita and I became friends years ago when we both had started the adoption journey to adopt from Liberia. Although neither one of us adopted from Liberia we have both added children in the past few years. She really has an interesting family and inspirational fun to read blog. Anita home schools her children and also works as an adoption worker. Recently her husband had a kidney transplant and she has four beautiful adopted children from around the globe.
CAROLINE (Tutova Clinic)
Caroline is a volunteer for MAT. She is a motivated, giving young woman who spends most of her time doing volunteer work and helping make the world a better place. She is in Romania right now for the next few months volunteering at an orphanage. You will be moved by the stories she shares.
DAWNZ (Praying Them Home)
Dawn and I both have children from the same orphanage in Haiti, that is how we first became friends. Dawn is an amazingly connected and spiritual mother. She writes an insightful blog posts that will really make you think and reflect. She has been on a journey to bring her children home for a long time now and could really use your prayers.
GALA (Story of Our Life)
Gala has overcome amazing obstacles and challenges in her life including an adoption disruption and weight loss surgery. She writes very honestly about her life and loving her family. Gala never ceases to have a kind word for others even when things in her life become hectic. Her family is getting ready to take their Make A Wish trip soon so don't miss it!
REBEKAH (Moving Mountains)
Rebekah and I always have loads to talk about because our lives are very similar. Rebekah runs an organization similar to MAT called Hands that Heal and she is Mom to five children- number six coming soon from China. She has a child with SB too and other children with special needs. She is a fun loving mommy and has an interesting life and blog.
RENEE (Bakers Dozen)
Renee has a great blog. She is a momma of many and takes the most amazing pictures. Renee is a creative and fun home schooler and has a wealth of information about many big family things that are truly applicable to any family size! She lives not too far from me and I hope we can get together soon for some adoptive Mommy support. Renee is a friend IRL. (In Real Life)
SANDI (Tommy's Mommy)
Sandi is such a lovely woman and Mom. She has a beautiful family including two little boys- Tommy and Liam. They are twins and they are friends to my little girl Angeline. I really enjoy reading her blog and hearing about parenting children with special needs. Sandi completely understands how hard life can be when you are just waiting for the next doctors appointment! You will enjoy seeing her
KATHY (Cassel Crew)
Kathy recently brought home twins (boy/girl) from Haiti. Kathy and I had similar timelines for our Haiti adoptins (not good ones). Kathy has so many gifts. She is a lovely woman and good mother and she is also a writer! She writes amazing Christian books for girls. I enjoy reading Kathy's blog because she is parenting children that are all different ages like I am. You will enjoy her blog!
LESLIE (Esperanza Del Alma)
Leslie is a passionate woman and thats why I enjoy reading her blog. She has two beautiful little girls- one who is adopted from Haiti and the other from Ethiopia. I started reading her blog when she was first on her adoption journey and its been fun to see her family come to fruition. She is dedicated to making the world a better place especially for people who have HIV/Aids and she inspires me!
