Hip Hop!

Thank you to Ubisoft for sponsoring this post. Please visit Ubi.com to learn more about Ubisoft. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective. #UbiChamps

My children were beyond excited when they found out we had been chosen to review this game- The Hip Hop Dance Experience. I was thinking that the younger children wouldn't be able to play it and it would be more interesting to the older children but I was wrong. It has been a game that in the past two weeks we have ALL enjoyed playing. Of course we have also gotten a lot of good laughs out of watching one another battle for the greatest Hip Hop Dancer of all time! There are even over 100 different accessories you can use to create your own avatar. The kids love just creating new avatars for the game since there are so many different combos you could do to come up with a "cool" character. There are dance modes for both single and multi player.

I even put myself out there this week when I was invited by a friend to attend a new (to me) exercise class with her. Exercise classes aren't really my thing. I much prefer to be swimming laps, or on the machines doing things at my pace, where I don't really feel self conscientious. Since Leishan was here and we were working on some wedding planning I was even able to drag her along to the Dance Jam exercise class. I burned 800 calories in that hour. Nice! It was a good workout but during the workout and interval training, I felt like I was having fun and not really working "out" so to speak! I was thankful that my uncoordinated self had spent some time doing the Hip Hop Dance Experience game so that I didn't feel completely unable to keep up. I feel that I can get a similar and good workout by using this game here at home. There is even a Dance Marathon mode that you can use to test out your stamina. I love that!

There truly aren't many video games that the entire family can enjoy. (At least at my house.) The music was good and there are many different levels and options for people of all ages and skill levels. This is definitely a fun game to try out for the whole family. It has quickly become a favorite in our home. This game is a spin off of the Just Dance game series that is hugely popular for both the Wii and Xbox. This game also comes available for both the Wii and Xbox game systems.
In other hip hop news...
David and Cole have a friend who is choreographing a dance (Hip Hop) for his senior project. David and Cole both have been attending after school classes to learn the dance. I am proud of them for putting themselves out there. For David doing dance isn't a new thing as he is a member of a dance group already, but it is for Cole. I love seeing my boys involved in dance!

If you want to buy the Hip Hop Dance Experience game you can head on over to www.amazon.com and pick up a copy. Izzy is still sleeping and everyone else is at school so I think I will put the xbox on right now and get my groove on. Enjoy!
